NIST sponsored SIM Metrology Trainings

EVENT POSPONED BECAUSE OF COVID-19 CRISIS

NIST is pleased to announce two training opportunities for SIM Members and their associated DIs. In partnership with the NIST Office of Weights and Measures, the International and Academic Affairs Office (IAAO) will be hosting two training events in July of this year:  

Fundamentals of Metrology  (July 20-24)

Balance Scale Calibration and Uncertainties (July 13-16)

IAAO will provide travel support to selected applicants (fees associated with visa applications are not covered). 

IAAO requests that applications be submitted by NMI Directors on behalf of their staff and their DIs.  NMIs who submit more than one application must provide a priority ranking. Applications and questions regarding these training opportunities should be sent to Andrew Conn ([email protected]). The deadline to apply is 31 March 2020.

Please note that the courses are taught in English without translation, so English language proficiency is a requirement to participate.
