NCSLI-SIM Early Career Metrologist Award 2026

The NCSLI-SIM Early Career Metrologist Award promotes professional development among staff with less than five years of experience in metrology working at a national metrology institute within the SIM region. This year, three winners were selected to present their papers during an special session. 

These presentations were given to attendees at NCSL International’s Workshop and Symposium held in Kansas City, Missouri, from July 25th to July 29th, 2026.

The SIM winners were : 

Lucía Marmo (INTI Argentina): “Commutability of the CRM for SCC for use in routine equipment according to ISO 13366” 

Wendy Calle (IBMETRO Bolivia): “Enhancing Volumetric Flow Meter Verification Through Decentralization in Bolivia: A Procedural and Metrological Framework”

Katherine Quezada (CENAMEP Panamá): “Advances in automation for detecting the centerline of a marked length measurement”

This valuable contribution reflects the importance of encouraging and supporting the next generation of metrology professionals across the Americas.
