BIPM-SIM UTC SUMMER SCHOOL

The BIPM, CENAM, and SIM are planning to host a UTC summer school. The school will take place at CENAM before the EFTF/IFCS meeting from May 7–9, 2025, in Queretaro, Mexico. The three-day event will focus on skill development and knowledge sharing but will highlight practical experience with GNSS receivers and data assessment. The school is intended for engineers, scientists, and technical staff at National Metrology Institutes(NMIs) and Designated Institutes (DIs) who are new to, or actively participating in, UTC operations and responsible for maintaining national time scales. Through e-learning resources, tutorial presentations, laboratory demonstrations, and Q&A breakout sessions, the workshops will ensure that participants acquire the necessary skills and background in the experimental work and data coordination required for maintaining a national timescale that is traceable to UTC.
